Mooresville High School Athletic Department Pendill Wealth Management Athletes of the Week April 21st – April 27th The Mooresville High School Athletic Department is pleased to announce the Pendill Wealth Management Athletes of the Week Award for the week of April 21st – April 27th. The award will be given to one female and one male student-athletes who displayed athletic excellence in all areas of competition during the previous week of athletic contests. Pendill Wealth Management is a proud to recognize student athletes for their athletic achievements each week while supporting the Mooresville Athletic Department. The Mooresville Athletic Department is honored to partner with BJ Pendill to recognize the Mooresville High School student athlete of the week. Athlete of the Week – Softball – Reagan Bauer, Senior Congratulations to Reagan Bauer, this week’s Athlete of the Week, for her outstanding performances both on the mound and at the plate. Reagan dominated in two big games last week. Against Perry Meridian, she pitched a near-perfect game, allowing just one hit and one baserunner while striking out 12 batters and not giving up a single run. At the plate, she went 1 for 3 and drove in 2 RBI to help lead the Pioneers to victory. She followed that up with another strong showing against Brownsburg, pitching a tough game where she allowed only 2 runs and struck out 8. Reagan also made her presence felt offensively, going 2 for 4 with a two-run home run and 2 RBI. For the season, Reagan boasts a 2.23 ERA and has racked up an impressive 72 strikeouts over 13 games, establishing herself as one of the top pitchers in the area. Athlete of the Week – Baseball – Tyler Denny, Junior This week’s Athlete of the Week honors go to Tyler Denny, a junior standout for the Mooresville Pioneers baseball team, whose big performances helped spark the team during a critical stretch of the season. Over three games last week, Tyler put together an impressive run at the plate, going 5 for 11 (.454 average) with 2 singles, 1 double, and 2 home runs. He also collected 2 RBI, scored 4 runs, walked twice, struck out twice, and was flawless defensively, showcasing his versatility at center field, second base, and catcher. Tyler’s biggest moment came on Wednesday night against Mid-State Conference rival Perry Meridian. In a tense, scoreless battle through nine and a half innings, Tyler led off the bottom of the tenth with a walk-off home run, his first of the season, securing a dramatic 1-0 victory for the Pioneers. He kept the momentum rolling the very next day against Southport, launching his second home run of the season to lead off the game and give Mooresville an early edge. Currently, Tyler is swinging a hot bat with a .433 batting average, 13 hits, and zero errors defensively.
