In game 2 of the Mid State Conference doubleheader with Plainfield the Pioneers found themselves up 5-4 headed into the top of the seventh inning. The Pioneers were unable to close out the game in the top of the seventh as Plainfield would score six runs to take a 10-5 lead into the bottom half. Mooresville was able to score a run in the seventh to cut the lead to 10-6 and that is how it would finish as the Pioneers would lose 10-6. With the loss, Mooresville sits at 12-7 on the season and 8-4 in the MSC (2nd Place). Mooresville will be back in action Thursday as they travel to Carmel to take on the Greyhounds, first pitch scheduled for 6:00pm. #mooresvillepioneersbaseball2025
